Product Analyst
Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for generally assisting the product team in the development and implementation of new products and redesigning of existing products by analyzing product performance, market trends, and customer needs. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and an eager to learn the insurance industry. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, claim, actuarial, marketing, and IT, to ensure the successful launch and ongoing management of insurance products.
Job Description
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and assist in gathering and analyzing data to support product decision-making and strategy formulation.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of insurance products, evaluating product performance, profitability and market position
Conduct competitive analysis by evaluating competitor products, pricing strategies, and market positioning. - Assist in the development of new insurance products or enhancements to existing products.
Assist in maintaining product documentation, including product feature lists, user guides, policy forms and technical specifications. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders from Sales, Operations, Marketing, IT, Compliance Team to ensure alignment of product strategy with business objectives
Ensure that all insurance products comply with relevant regulations and industry standards - Help maintain a central repository of product-related information for easy access and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in project management activities related to product launches and updates with timely execution of product development tasks and milestones.
- Prepare and present reports on process performance and improvement initiatives to senior management
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, and regulatory requirements is preferred. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional command in English and Burmese, both verbal and written.
- Experience working with data analytic tools and data visualization tools (e.g. Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, etc.)
- Familiar with Market Research and Product Development Process
